Lecture title: Policy in Science, Technology and Talent in China-current status and vision
Lecturer: Xianzhi Lu, Consul, Head of Science & Technology Office, Consulate General of P.R.China in Los Angeles
Lecture summary: This event will focus on topics of science and technology policies in China, how China plan to encourage and attract young and experience talents with overseas background, which fields of technology are in the focus, and which regions and science parks are more returnee friendly. The lecturer will also cover other related topics that interest audience. All presentation and Q&A will be delivered in Chinese.

Biography
Mr-Lu
Mr. Xianzhi Lyu, is the Consul, head of Science & Techology Office, in the Consulate General of P. R. China in Los Angeles. He graduated from Tsinghua University in 1993 and received his M.D in Thermal Energy Engineering.
Mr. Lyu have been working in the Ministry of Science and Technology of P. R. China (MOST) for more than 20 years. Before being posted to LA, he has worked in the Chinese Embassy in Canada from 1999 to 2002, and served as the Vice Director-General to the Center of National Science & Technology Infrastructure of MOST from 2009.
